Hello, I’m Michelle Lui and I’m a designer, researcher, and educator—I design educational technology and research how we learn with technology and with each other. I teach courses on User Interface and User Experience design (UI/UX), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Web programming, and immersive and gameful learning.

Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, investigating design factors for understanding complex scientific concepts in virtual reality. I augment traditional methods for studying learning with eye-tracking and biosensing techniques—to further examine the connections between sensorimotor activity, embodied interactions, and cognition.
